  8. Want a game for the kids that's educational and constructive?  Tired of them
  9. blasting aliens?  Night Math Attack is a motivational game for practicing all 4
  10. math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), created
  11. with help from an educational consultant.  Faster speed and accuracy at these
  12. skills result in better problem-solving math ability and higher test scores.
  13. The program has up-beat music, quality graphics, and no requirement for fast 
  14. hand control.  Following the title screen and instructions, the player chooses 
  15. which math operation to practice.  The game screen has a question at the top, 
  16. 4 answers down the left side, a helicopter in the middle, and a choice of sound
  17. on/off at the bottom.  The player uses the joystick or cursor keys to fly the 
  18. chopper up or down so it is level with the correct answer, and then uses the 
  19. joystick or space bar to fire a missile at the answer.  A message then reports 
  20. whether the choice was right or wrong.  The wrong messages are followed by the 
  21. question with the correct answer to reinforce learning.  Wrong choices are 
  22. generated randomly so that students will no become used to the same choices 
  23. after repeated plays.  After 20 questions a "report card" gives the accuracy 
  24. rate.  There is a print-out option which prints wrong questions and out-of-time
  25. questions for further study, which requires the printer driver to be in the 
  26. devs directory of the boot disk.  Practicing math facts as little as 5 minutes 
  27. a day usually results in a grade score improvement.
